The Berlin Zoological Garden (Zoologischer Garten Berlin) in Berlin’s Tiergarten
district is one of two zoos in Berlin. It extends over 35 hectares and presents
the most comprehensive collection of species in the world (it accomodates more than
15,000 animals and almost 1,500 different species). Together with the adjacent aquarium
which exhibits fish, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates such as insects and
others, the zoo is one of the most visited sights in Berlin. In 2007, 3.18 million
